Born beneath the waves of the Australian coast, a life of grazing on seaweed and brine seemed all I needed. One thing led to another, and I found myself in the curious position of wanting ‘more’. What’s a little dugong to do, when the soggy salt has lost its tang? Perhaps I could have invested my time and energy towards a career that would lift me up to heights no dugong had ever seen before! I became a writer of ‘Weird Fiction’ fantasy instead.
I have a degree in Creative Writing, Editing and Publishing. I have also been a freelance editor for over 53 years, give or take a few decades. I want to write funky stuff with a loving tint, and have never felt more at home than with the surrealist/absurdist genres.
My spirit animal is the Dugong, and no, I will not be taking questions about that…
